Connecting to YouTube Shopping allows merchants to boost brand and product visibility while offering a seamless shopping experience. If you manage a YouTube channel, you can add recommended products to your content—whether shorts, videos, or livestreams. Viewers can click on product images while watching and complete their purchases directly in your online store.
This app is currently only available for merchants in Taiwan and Hong Kong. For other regions, please contact Online Merchant Success Team for assistance.
Preparation (recommended to complete 3 weeks before the livestream)
The store must have verified the Google Merchant Center account and installed the Content API application.
Please ensure that the store products can be synced to the connected GMC account.
Testing (recommended to complete 2 weeks before the livestream)
After downloading the app, store managers can check if all preparation tasks are completed on the app's settings page.
If all tasks are completed, store managers can share the account linking link with the YouTube channel owner for authorization.
Once authorized:
Store managers can see the connected channel on the app's settings page.
The YouTube channel owner can add store products to their videos.
You can release a trial video to view the YouTube shopping flow.
Livestream Sale
If you intend to sell products that are hidden before the livestream sale begins, please go to [Social Commerce] > [SHOPLINE Live] to create a YouTube livestream and set the "Expected Live Broadcast Time" and "Livestream Products" at least 5 days before the sale starts.
By doing so, customers will not see these products before the sale begins. Once the livestream sale starts, customers viewing the video will be directed to the store’s product page.
